As a geek myself I have been looking at the iPad. I plan to get one for myself soon. I see it as a tool to allow me more accessibility to my clients. With a WiFi + 3G iPad. One solution I see it solving is the ability to handle a higher number of technical issues but using remote access tools and software. For example: A client calls and I am on the other side of town. He needs a printer setup or a router configured. I receive the call and I would make time to get by his office. As technology becomes more pervasive I would use my laptop to connect to their computer or network. Now I can see the iPad replacing the laptop.
